The Eagle began as an elaborate bookstand to hold a priceless Audubon illustration book of birds of prey. In fact,
the piece was completed as a bookstand and was only reworked into a stand-alone sculpture when the patron saw it and decided it needed to be displayed prominently on its own. The Eagle is carved of basswood
and stands 5.5 feet tall. A bronze version of The Eagle has also been cast and delivered to the patron as the bookstand.
He has the rare ability of being able to take my ideas and transform them into carved sculptures whose beauty exceeds anything
imagined. -- Allan Greenberg, Architect
